Hello, I am Clara
I work as a project manager. I am a parent. I am an expatriate living in Lisbon, Portugal.
A couple of years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Portugal wasn't in our long-term plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The early months were demanding—new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that worked for us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt secure.
Why I Built BriskGardenLine
Most online information was either corporate relocation advice or surface tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to fill that gap—practical guidance grounded in real life in Portugal.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Real-world experience from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated only when there is a real change
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a platform for sponsored reviews
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Portugal goes on, and the learning process continues. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, please feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Clara
